    Exclamation Any problem by configure modem-Always On

    hello,
    is there any problem in configure modem as always On(or connected).

    i have Bsnl broadband with limited plan.(up 2 one GB-download).

    No problem except that switch off the modem when not in use.

    For limited users it can be a problem if u keep the connection as always on. For unlimited users it makes no difference. Always on means once your modem starts your net connection is started, and once your lan cable is jacked in to any computer that computer will have net connection. Using dial up you are aware that you have dialed up, in always on you may forget to disconnect or turn off your modem, b4 going out, the computer may start downloading some huge updates and so on. Your bandwidth consumption will increase!!
