    Default Data card

I use home 750 UL plan and the speed is very slow, only 30 KBps...so I enquired on 1504 and they said that any plan which allows unlimited uploads and downloads is slower than limited plans...then they suggested me to get a data card and they say with a data card you can get speeds upto 2 MBps...I asked again do you really get 2 MBps speed and they said yes...so what is the advantage of using a data card, any suggestion...also does it apply only in metro cities or in small cities also? I have to download lot of softwares etc so I need speed as well as larger limit.

    Thirdperson.

BSNL EVDO will give you up to 2 Mbps speed. But speed will vary according to the signal strength and no. of users per tower. You may not get full 2 Mbps but around 150 KBps. It is better than UL 750. But you need to pay around Rs. 4000 to get an EVDO card. I too have UL 750. I am also planning to get an EVDO connection.

They have the 999 plan for EVDO connection..yes installation is expensive, but is there any scheme that you can exchange your BSNL modem for an evdo card?

There was a scheme which give you a free EVDO card. Scheme varies from circle to circle. Check with the local exchange.
