    Question which make & modem on rent query

    I'm trying to get the best modem for Mac(home) & Linux(work), should i avoid Capitel models ?.

    Does BSNL provide EVDO modem on rent ?.

    No!not now!they provide the modem on purchase basis only!So no to rented modem from bsnl evdo,i confirmed it from 1502 EVDO Section!!

    Why not,they do offer in rental basis..coz i ve applied one and thats on rental.
    But I ll suggest you go for rental one coz any defect you can ask for replacement.Do not have much confident on Customer Service ... they dont have much idea..

    Did Bsnl really stopped giving modem in rent basis.
    What about me then,I ve recently applied on rent basis.

    Due to recovering problems, when the customer shifts without returning the device, ' Rental ' has been discarded in some places, like here in Chennai. It depends upon the region also. If they are having surplus stock, without much outright buyers, will be ready to give on rental.

    Many thanks. I've confirmed with BSNL Chennai is supplying Micromac MMX300c Rev A & BSNL Kerala providing ZTE AC87xx (couldn't see the box).

    Definitely it should be AC8700, the reason you might have seen the reply to your another post here
