    Default EVDO connections in Bangalore

    Hi Pals

I am finally getting to clean the TIKONA garbage and planning to go with the wireless Broadband.

Since, there are multiple players here I am confused on which / whom to opt.

    (I don't want to be cheated again..like the Tikona's)

I am seeking my pals here who have used / using these connections and can help me out.

    - How are Tata's?
    - Is still Airtel the best bet here?
    - BSNL will they have time to show me a demo?

    Please help.

    Cheers
    Kamaz

    Default Demo of BSNL

You can have a demo at your door steps, before buying the EVDO card from BSNL. Here in Chennai, and also in Bangalore, demo is available under the scheme called UDAAN. You have to contact your nearest Customer Service Center of BSNL. But insist for Rev.A cards

EVDO Rel.0 cards (ZTE AC8700 etc ) supports 2.4Mbps download and 153Kbps upload speed.

EVDO Rev.A cards ( Micromax MMX 300C, Capitel EC200 ) supports 3.1Mbps download speed and 1.8Mbps upload ( useful for torrents seeding and big files uploading ).

Rel.0 cards are old and Rev.A cards are latest. In some states still BSNL is supplying this discontinued model. Hence I insisted for Rev.A cards.

EVDO Rev.B cards support more than twice the Rev.A cards ( 2 and above channels ) according to the device. Yet to come for our service providers. I heard that some BSNL staff, in some places, are even unaware of what are Rev.A cards

    Thanks Bro,

Sure this was great knowledge on the data cards.

Yep, even the staff at BSNL CSC were unaware of it.

I'll check with them again..to see if they have any info/updates on Rev.B cards.

B/w are you using BSNL EVDO..how is your experiences on this?

this is my first post..after having browsed for hours on this forum..
i'm currently on hathway but since they recently implemented fair usage policy im in the lookout for a new connection.
After lot of research i've two options in mind..BSNL EVDO and BSNL broadband home ul 750..
does evdo really provide the speed as described on the bsnl site??
plus does bsnl implement fair usage policy on either of the connections??
