Thread: BSNL 3G EVDO issues

i recently got the 3G evdo connection as had checked people had really good reviews about it compare to other wireless connection, and i stay in an area where i don't get other wired broadband connection so had to stick with wireless
so my problem is i'm getting very low speed with this connection, like 3g is advanced enough not give me 0.1 kbps in which download speed is unbearable, sometimes do get decent speed enough to surf but not even to watch streaming videos over youtube but the think is the service guy told it takes few days for full activation of proper speed, so i would like to know guys whoever has used to connection have you guys also experienced low speeds in the initial stages ? or should i be making some setting in the comp. like changing ips or dns ?

by the way..just for clarification on people who will assist me, BSNL has given me the latest CAPITEL modem and i usually, actually i always get all the bars in the strength meter!

for me i got very good speeds right from the time it got activated.

and i hope u are connecting it by clicking on 3G. and not 1x. the slow speed problems is usually cos of low signal strength. low signal strenght drastically reduces the speed.

If this does not work out contact ur commercial officer or visit the BSNL care center in ur palce.

u should be getting speed around 1.5 MBps (avg ) if u are getting all the bars ...
