    Question Evdo

    Hi All,
I am an EVDO user since September 2008. My EVDO is registered at Model Colony Exchange Pune. I use a ZTE AC8700 model. I have relocated to Goa and these are the data from my EVDO.

    IPv4 Connectivity Internet
    IPv6 Connectivity Limited
    Speed 115.2 Kbps

    Connection Specific DNS Suffix
    Description ZTE Wireless Terminal
    Physical Address
    DHCP Enabled No
    IPv4 IP Address 117.254.9.50
    IPv4 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255
    IPv4 Default Gateway
    IPv4 Servers 218.248.240.181
    192.168.50.170
    IPv4 WINS Servers 172.18.3.3
    172.18.3.4
Net BIOS over TCPIP Enabled No

Does this mean my speed is only 115.2 Kbps?
Please help as to how I can get a better speed.
    Thanks,
    Merv

What was your speed while using EvDO in your place ? Did you get 2.4 Mbps before ? Or higher speed ?

Does this mean my speed is only 115.2 Kbps?
Please help as to how I can get a better speed.

It seems the tower at your place is not supporting EvDO. In such case you will get only a maximum of 144 Kbps. Check your local exchange at Goa and ask them whether the tower supports EvDO. If not, there is no way out, you will have to live with 144 Kbps till the tower is upgraded or your move to an area where the tower supports EvDO.

    Hi Meetdilip,
Thanks for your reply. I really do not know what speed I was getting in Pune. I was just exploring the properties and was asking. I will definately contact the BSNL office in Panjim and find out as I have some billing problems also.
    Thanks
    Merv
