Thread: Speed Test.net Showing Wrong Results

Hello Everyone,
I use a bsnl evdo data card and i get a downloading speed of around 2 MBPS in IDM and torrents. Youtube video watching experience is aewsome.

But from past few days whenever i try to check my speed on either speedtest.net or bandwithpalace.com they both show speeds below 512 kbps(I have tried all the servers) but at the same time i get around 250-260 "KBPS" downloading speed in IDM or torrents.

Why is this happening? Why is speed test.net showing less bandwidth??

As i posted above actually nothing is eating the bandwidth as i am getting the promised download and upload speeds throughh idm and torrents. The only problem is Speedtest.net . It's just not showing the actual bandwith.

How is the experience with the modem ? did u compare it with micromax ? u get full signal ? i want to buy it soon. do u recommend it buddy ?

any idea about working in mac and linux ?

The experience is pretty good. I have not compared it with Micromax.I get 3 signal bars out of 4. Ofcourse i fully recommend it.

Thanks ... even i used to get 3 bars and some times 4 previously when i used micromax modem the speed was very good then.so i hope it will do the same
