Question BSNL EVDO Cannot understand anything.. .

I went to buy Bsnl evdo to the local bsnl exchange.
Purchased a modem from them. which costed me 1200/-
Now i activated plan (prepaid) 750/- (which he told me is actually 830/- per month - taxes etc)
    ok.
now i dont understand these things below

    1. no other plan below 830/- and which?
    2. what if i dont recharge my evdo connection? what will happen?
    3. how to change plans? written sarkari style or from portal?
    4. how can i maximize my validity of card so that if i dont recharge my modem doesnt becomes a toy..

i am crying out loud because i have to recharge 3 connections each month... including my telephone connection...

    pls help!!!! :|

Glad to know that you bought an EVDO connection.
Here are answers for your queriess:-

    1) There are some plans lower than 830...check Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
    2) As long as the validity of the CDMA sim is on..your EVDO connection will be active. Doesn't matter if you donot recharge every month. It will instantly start working when you recharge again with 830.
    3) No Idea About how to change plans.
    4) For Validity of your CDMA sim you have two rechareges ..
(i)110 recharge will give you 6 months validity
(ii) 220 recharge will give you 12 months validity

Hope you found the answers useful.

there areother lower plans such as rs. 250/- free usage 1GB etc.
I understand you have taken prepaid 750/- unlimited plan. you have to recharge/topup every month otherwise your balance will go negative and after some time connection will be deactivated.
If you dont want to recharge every month, convert it to prepaid general plan and use STV as per your need.
for validity, recharge with es. 110/ or 221/- for 6 or 12 month validity.

sarveshmotihari clarified almost all question except... plan change...

To change the Plan you need to change the Sim... i.e., Need to pay for new sim card..

As I understand, when you buy a new evdo data card you get one month free unlimited usage.

Then why did you pay 750 ?(830 with tax )for the 1st month

You are right,I got confused with NIC service, which provides 1Month free unlimited usage.

Although at the time of purchasing a new data card they provide with Rs 399 balance for free,so why not use that balance and add the extra Rs 426(with tax included, total Rs 825 )for a month of unlimited data usage.

I do not think balance in prepaid goes to negative.
the plan gets activated by taking the money form your account automatically if sufficient balance is there

    Thanks
    This is the last query
1--i use PAYTM.COM for recharges. there are only 2 options TALKTIME TOPUP and SPECIAL RECHARGE.
Which one should i choose for extending VALIDITY and which one for ADDING MONEY TO BALANCE

If i want to add money to my balance will i get the full amount or there are certain denominations (If i recharge for 50 will it appear in my account ?)

2--How do i check my balance, validity and such details. (I live in Bangalore)
