The only thing that can be done is from bsnl exchange. Go and meet them..

Be assured that if EVDO signal is available in your locality...you will get very good speed all the time...as far as my experience of BSNL EVDO...im very satisfied. In this month i have already downloaded close to 50GB and continuing. Longest period of DOWNLOADING that i have done is for 18 hours in which 9.76GB data was DOWNLOADED(dint count the uploaded amount). And this was at a stretch i.e. not for a single time the connection got disconnected(i shut down the computer after that). The best part is i had a 600C plan of BSNL before which gave me 2.5GB of monthly limit and UNLIMITED download from 2AM to 8AM. And for that i had to keep awake till 2AM which i dont have to now. 2.5GB for a month is too less for someone like me who keeps on downloading for about 20hrs a day on an average. On the 600C plan the speed was 2 MbPS. In torrents the speed hardly touched 190kBps and in IDM it was around 200-220kBps. I too was very skeptic bout EVDO but was just getting mad at not being able to download stuffs at the current 3G rates!!! Needed somthing truly unlimited(NO FUP s***) which only was available with this EVDO. Got the EVDO(crossing my fingers) and hurray...it paid off!! In torrents the speed is around 230 kBps consistently and in IDM it is around 300kBps. And all this for just Rs 750 per month.
