hey how to check my broandband usage and if somebody is using my connection then can i find it or not?

i don't know about bsnl WLL net connection but for broadband connection you can use bsnl portal to check usage.

In my area...bsnl people told me that i can get internet only after the 1st bill payment

Why did u pay Rs.370/- PM, when u can get more in less price

if u get the BSNL's Plan 500C, u r actually paying only about Rs.200/- for 2Mbps Internet with Night Unlimited Usage, in which u can download few GB data per day (if u use some NU Managers, see here http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...e-manager.html).

otherwise u can use Airtels "Mobile Office" for Rs.300/-(Rs.120/- with a hack) PM Only for "REALLY UNLIMITED", with the added advantage that u r not bound to invest every month.

so tell me why pay Rs.370/-.

Presently i am using BSNL Broadband -500C and I recently converted to 750 plan (it starts from sep-1) .
I know the internet can be accessed with WLL.But we need to spend more money to modem ,datacable or cord and other equipment?what are the charges for that . If it is possible please provide me the full details to connect to the internet with new WLL Phone and charges.

I had taken BSNL WLL 250 plan 5 months back, initially the bill had been call charges+180 rental+166.67(ARDR )+taxes.
No one at BSNL could answer my queries about ARDR charge head.
This month I got a bill from them which gave me a big shock!!
In addition to the normal charges (mentioned above) they have even added 250 Rs for the last 5 month.
On enquiry at the Local exchange they said they have started to bill the internet rental only from this month and the overdue rental would be collected from this month.
As to the ARDR charge component, they mentioned , its the 1000 Rs deposit for the net connection which they would collect for 6 months (166.67*6=1000 Rs).
I was never informed about the deposit when I had taken the WLL connection. ( reminds me of a Sales gimmick to Charge fees at a later time, once a customer gets hooked to the service)
BSNL staff had no idea about this before and continue to bring out justifications when a Bill is printed.
As to the speed and performance of the net on the WLL. I stay 100 metres from the exchange tower and network range is peak.
The Huawei telephone with USB modem connects fast on XP but takes time on my old Win 98 desktop. Once the connection validates on Win98 , transfer of data never happens (I dont know how it happens for other users) but on my XP laptop, speed is OK. Gtalk , Y messenger, Skype with web cam, Amateur Radio VOIP "Echolink" works fine.
Bandwidth is good in the nights to view Youtube. Download speeds are also good if you use "Free Download Manager (FDM)".
The connection seems to be unlimited so far, but I am not sure..they may give me another shock in my next Bill. I will update everyone on this later.

i want to know how to change ma user ids password and if somebody is using my userid den i can or anybody can catch him or not plz repply soon

On a WLL modem, your user id and password would generally be your telephone number and the last 4 digits of your phone, as soon as you connect there are 2 levels of authentication , one is the phone from which you are calling from and then the dial up user id and password. The BSNL Server checks these 2 levels and then grants the connection to you.
So security is maintained and as far as I know you cannot change userid and password unless you contact the BSNL internet section. They may have to change it at the server level and then communicate the same to you, to use the changed one.

Does the phone and internet works simultaneously.
I am unable to make calls or receive calls, while internet is connected.
Any help please.

using WLL/GPRS or dialup internet you can't simultaneously use phone & net.

I came to know from internet that bsnl is providing internet service in wll line.After that i request for the connection to the local exchange's officer(jto).He informed me there in no such facility and want to get rid of his duty.but i went to zonal bsnl manager and he provide me the connection.
I want to say the employee who are working in the exchange are paid more than they are capable of,they gossip all the day have fun in office but they dont know the such common informations.I live in West Bengal at Boinchi.

Can I replace my Landline connection with wll connection. I dont want to change the number.

I don't think it is possible.
I changed from Land line to Wll and my number changed

But in your case it is the same exchange, in my case the exchanged changed.
You can check with your local BSNL operator if this is possible

Take my advice

Do move from land line to wll. The voice quality is bad and i see frequent drops in calls. i don't have a choice of land line that is the reason i am using WLL

I am a keralite staying at kollam. I applied for BB and the exchange people told me that the capacity for my exchange is over. I have fixed landline @ home. A friend of mine told me abt the wll 250 unlimited plan. Now i am planning to take the wll connection for internet,Can anybody advise about the speed, monthly charges(including hidden charges tax and all those shits) and how much is the Initial investment (Installation charge, deposit,Prices of modem and other stuffs) Thanx in advance....

I've heard that speed of BSNL WLL Internet was upgraded to 256 kbps unlimited. Is that true ?

My problem is dat my net connection get disconnected suddenly.When i try dialing the next time i get the message "your modem is already in use" or"there is a hardware failure i the modem".This problem gets rectified once i restart my phone. This is not a problem with my phone coz i have tried 2 phones and the problem repeats. Did anyone encounter such problems and i fso could you tell me a possible solution for the same??

Try shifting the modem to another USB port(especially on to the rear).

i have tried all these things...but did not succeed

This is kamal soni. I am a coustmer of WLL Village Plan With Internet.
My problam is I am dial the dial-up no. on my PC the internet is connected. After 5 to 10 minutes the connection is automatically disconnected.
After that i am again dial the dial-up no. on my pc they automatically shows that error No. 797 the modem is not found in that port.
but in the pone display the data counter is running.
But i remove the data cable on the phone and again fixed the data cable on to the phone.
i again dial the dial-up no. at that time the internet is connected.
This problam is running contt.
