Usually all drivers are checked by MS for compatabilty
and say "digtally signed " and approved.
Usually most work without the certificate also

If your system crashes often with any new hardware
better to avoid using the Hardware.
Let us hope BSNL will come up with a solution.

nothing more..

i have searched the phone and also the box.. couldnt find any specific make except Linktop and drivers are dated back to 2004 !!!

i dont know what to do ..

the system doesnt crash.. the connection is only hangs .. and have to disconnect > remove the usb cable > and reconnect

but after changing to 19.2kbps .. its now stable..

lets me use it and reply back..

i dont know why sometimes the connection hangs up ...

i am using ping to see the values and at some point it says "request failed" and keeps showing that message..

is there a tool to evaulate ?

i had it in my home ( a different connection - 1 year back ) , it had the similar issue .. but the hangs were less...

please guys help me... is this due to driver issue or network ?
i get full signal and voice is clear too....

weird thing is each time it hangs and when i plug out the usb and insert it assumes a different Port...

and takes each time it takes a new one ..

i have been using wll internet for last 1 year,.it only gave maximum of 5 kbps i had problems for first 2 months.when turning of the pc,the conection will not disconects,always modem should be reinstald or com port..after many googling i found the problem,it was due to viruses and port speed problem,and had to format,instaled orginal windows xp sp2 after it worked perfect,but intenet explorer always slow,i instaled mozila and orbit downloader which as tweak for xp sp2 which increased speed,also incresed port speed to full,only uses chap & shiva protocols and got full speed upto 20 kbps avg & upload upto 12 kbps.


now i have changed to bsnl unlimeted gprs plan which is better,only 230 rs per month & gets speed upto 35 kbps avg

Im using bsnl wll..frm toda i startd usin this..
The connection is not stable & it automatically gets disconnectd!!
also disconnection im not abl to dial again..The phon remains dead for hrs then..:gun_bandana:
in the phon the maximum speed we can set is 115kbps..but cmptr shows 153.6kbps!!In the manual of the phon it is written upto 144kbps!!

I ve been usin the BSNL WLL internet connection for the past 2 months and its about OK.

The only thing that irritates me is that the connection goes off in between after sometime. Well, since the payment s less, I m not complaining. But I m able to download movies from Torrent within a day or two. The max download speed in Torrent is around 16 kb, rarely shooting upto 18 K.

Now I wanna ask u something which I ve observed for the past few days.
My WLL server goes down whenever I switch ON say a Fan or tubelight in my room (where the WLL modem is placed).
Not only that, if my Mom switches on the light in the kitchen or fan in the living room, the WLL connection is lost and I ve to reconnect it.

Its kinda weird but i figure cuz WLL s wireless, mayb the switchin ON of appliances mite b disturbin the electromagnetic waves of internet connection or something, I dunno.

The internet connection s perfect@night as there r no appliances switched On @that time & everyone goes to sleep.

This is my observation for the past few days.

Can u cum up wit an explanation regarding this?

im getting decent speed 9-20kbps<<but cannot charge the phon while using the net..i'm not able to connect net at that time..what to do??

I thout BSNL provides you with a phone.

Why do u wanna change the fone during net connection?

Hmm In my opinion WLL is good u cant blame alot for bsnl for disconeting and other problms coz they dnt charge more its only 250 and the for the same speed usb modems from private opretors cost double than the amount of wll so am just satisfied for what am paying and getting back but the lack of support is the main problem for bsnl.For the first time user it will be a little bit annoying after you get in touch it will be no problem and tht problem will be a part of you . spweed am getting download speed up to 10-20 kbps and u;pload up to 12 kbps.

I got the bsnl wll highspeed internet connection, but can'tr istall driver in my laptop (windows 7) due to not having driver for win7. i could instal in XP. pls help me to get driver for win7. (Ph model: BSNL CT800P)

I can't install this wll modem in windows 7. phone model: CT800P. any idea to get driver?

There is no settings for this Wll internet. First you have to get the Data cable and Driver cd for your WLL phone from local BSNL office(Your telephone Exchange). It is given at a free of cost. Go To My Computer->Select "C" Drive->Select "Program Files"->Create A Folder There And Name It "Via Telecom"
And Copy The Installation Files Of Windows Xp Fro Cd And Paste There In That Folder
After That Restart Ur Pc Hope That It Will Work

Download Windows XP Mode download xp mode from here for win 7 it will help you to install the drivers after installing this you can use the appliction which you using in xp and unable to use in win 7 so try ur luck and if you dont have driver for ctp800 download here http://triggerwap.com/UPS/CT800Pdrivers.zip
