For a prepaid connection you will get a message as soon as you disconnect form the net.
For adding Balance to your account you can use PAYTM.COM just enter your mobile number (NOT USERNAME/PASSWORD).
For the plan details you will have to contact the BSNL office

what do you mean by mobile number?? my username as provided by the BSNL guys looks like 522207****@aaand.in. I think 522 is the STD code of Lucknow from where i bought the connection and the rest is like a 7 digit landline number.
if i call any other mobile number from the EVDO card i get my username which is like 522207**** in the CLIP. i can even make calls via mobile to my evdo card using the same number. Can you provide some example?? I have been putting this question from a long time on this forum but never got any answer.

Are you sure yours is EVDO DATACARD. The username is VERY WEIRD for evdo. you must be using a broadband connection.

It's simple. The no you need to recharge would be your mobile no. Don't confuse with userid and login id's. If in any doubt, put your sim in a phone and make a outgoing call, to another phone and you will get your mobile no. For EVDO recharge for BSNL you can just recharge using the mobile no.

Yes it is a BSNL EVDO card -- Modem ZTE AC8700 800M. there is no R-UIM sim. The guy at BSNL customer Care Center told me it has inbuilt sim or whatever. In the number i mentioned **** stands for some 4 digits that i am not revealing here on the forum.

My EVDO Data card does not have a SIM card. It works without the R-UIM sim. I can make calls directly through my data card on the PC using the ZTE application. The another phone recieves the call and the number shown is the 10 digit number starting with +91 - 522207---- . I customer care guy at BSNL lucknow recharged my account through his mobile. I now have moved to Pune and want to recharge it online.

No need to choose any option, once you put the no, it will automatically select the provider and details, just put the amount and recharge. It would work fine without any issues and PayTm is a safe site to do recharges.

Paytm does not distinguish between mobile and data card. You just put the no and select the provider and amount to charge. I have been using it successfully for my bsnl evdo and tata data packs.
