Can I use 5 meter extension cable with micromax?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know if somebody is using a 5 meter cable with micromax 310c or 300c modems. I tried googling and found out that most modems don't work with long USB cables. If anyone has tested any micromax modem with 5 meter+ extension cable, please let me know.

Get a good quality cable and it should work. I am currently using 2m cable with Huawei.

Even I'm using 2m cable. But USB has some limitations, it can not be used like an ethernet cable thats why I needed to know if somebody is already using it.

You have 2 options then -

1. USB Y cable
2. USB powered hub

Thses 2 options will let you extend your cable to long distance.

iam using with 3mtrs cable at it works fine

you can try using a 3G wireless router instead of a 5 mt cable that may or may not work.

That's 10 times more costlier than using a data cable. And I don't use multiple devices so it's not worth spending that much.
