| Auto time update can be obtained by connecting to GPRS. Just keep the Auto update on and connect to your default service providers homepage and the time will be updated, then you can disconnect. |

| Platinum Member | Really? I have used iDEA, BPL and Airtel in Pune (all GSM). None of them had auto time-update facility. So I assumed that Indian mobile telephony providers did not provide this feature. |

Rep Power: 3 | I don't know how but it did happen to me once. Those days I had Nokia 1108 and two sim cards. I happened to go to delhi and had to change my sim as there was not enough balance left in the one that I was using. (Once you remove battery from Nokia 1108, it's time gets reset.) So when I switched to my another sim, my cell flashed a message like "time updated", and my handset's clock was set to correct date and time. Mind you that it was not 12.00. It never happened again with me. Don't know what was that!! |

note; auto time update is given by every service provider(except the aircel- which shows 02:30 am everytime i change the sim) to do this go to time settings, and click confirm time change.. this will ask you if you wanna change the time.. and for this service (which is not a service actually) you dont need the gprs.. yes in my Father's reliance it updates after some seconds.
