GPRS Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 - 48 kbps
EDGE Class 10, 236.8 kbps
3G Yes, 384 kbps

Well i will not like to fight on which is better and which is worst. but i should express a truth that the biggest factor for gprs internet is tower distance basically..
as according to my place i rank the operators for edge internet as follows:
1. Idea (great speed 20 bucks a day)
2. BSNL(great speeds 274/- , 6gb data best hai mere liye)
2. Airtel (10 Rs. per day 100 mb, almost same speed as BSNL)
3. Aircel (slow, but disconnects less. 98/- plan is encouraging)
4. TATA docomo(disconnects much tower penetration low, new player 48/- plan is better)

yeah Mickey Ur Right Opinion But I stands With Tata Docomo As My View
Better Connectivity But I Says All The Mobile Networks Are Not Perfect In Every Places
