Thread: Not able to do a 3G DATA recharge

Hello Friends,

I use BSNL SIM for past 6 years. Now since our city (Pondicherry) has 3G network, I wanted to recharge my number for 3G Data through the BSNL portal.
But I am keep getting an error that my mobile number is inavlid after trying several times.

Do someone has similar issues. Can somebody explain me how to recharge my number for 3G Data.

Online Recharge- Recharge Prepaid Mobile Airtel Vodafone Reliance BSNL Idea Uninor Aircel MTS Tata Docomo Tata Indicom MTNL Loop Virgin & Online DTH Recharge

After entering your bsnl no, select "special Recharge" in it.

I tried recharging my mobile for Rs 100 by selecting special recharge option. But I got a message from paytm as "sorry we could complete the recharge of Rs 100. Rs 100 has been refunded into your paytm cash balance."

Can you help me out of the issue.,

I have another question. Is it possible to recharge a mobile number with both GPRS and 3G Data..?
What is the impact of doing that..?

I tried to recharge through Paytm using special recharge option for Rs 100. But I got a message that the recharge is not successful and the amount has been refunded.

I tried again with Rs 101 Recharge through the Paytm site and got successfully recharged.
And now how to check the balance and validity.
I tried sending a message to 53733 with text 3G DATA. And I received a reply that Your request for 3G Data card information received. You will be contacted by our customer care soon - BSNLMOBILE.
I also tried sending *123#. No use.

Can you help on this.,

I don't know for pondicherry , call customer care and ask them USSD CODE/SMS or else create a new thread in bsnl 3g section (mention your circle) someone may help you.

For AP circle it's *234# and 123 ( IVRS)

If Pondy has 3G coverage you can try your luck by forcing to connect (in your phone or 3G data card) in 3G.If by luck you may latch on to wcdma/hspda network and get higher speeds.
You can not recharge 3G data pack with out first activating 3G in your sim. when you have 3G activated, you can not recharge gprs pack again.

best is to go to the nearest BSNL Customer service centre and activate 3G FRC may be. calling them is useless.
BSNL has widespread 3G coverage in all district HQ's in Tamilnadu.
