Thread: BSNL Unlimited Local / STD On-Net plan

Hi,
I was looking for 2G unlimited voice plans for STD and found that BSNL offers the same at around 500 per Month as

Now i am very much confused will this On-net unlimited pack cover calls to MTNL Delhi ? As delhi has no BSNL mobile service(I guess) and i have quite a many friends there.

I tried googling my issue but could not find any reliable results.

Depending on your Expert opinion and experience.

while you may be having many friends in Delhi, are they all having MTNL No.? After all MTNL is not the most preferred service.

All i wanted to know is how can i avail this BSNL unlimited On-Net Facility to call some 1 in Delhi, i am preferring Unlimited because the talk volume will be more and apart from Reliance i guess only BSNL provides the Service. One big drawback in reliance is that it does not support Conferencing. So i was Trying to learn if MTNL falls under BSNL On-Net Network so as to use the feature...

Any help regarding this matter will be appreciated.

MTNL is not treated as home network by BSNL, even though it is used for roaming purposes. However, BSNL provides landline service in Ghaziabad/NOIDA/Gurgaon/Faridabad and also BSNL Haryana mobile numbers have free incoming in MTNL network of Gurgaon/Faridabad and BSNL UP(W) mobile numbers have free incoming in MTNL network of NOIDA.
Reliance has call conferencing but only in postpaid. I have a R-CDMA number for nearly 9 years now and use call conferencing on regular basis.

I am not an expert on this but thought this info might help: I have friends and family living in Punjab and they are now able to call Delhi Mtnl phones as a local call and even the mobile numbers in Delhi are counted as local calls when they call form their Bsnl land lines.

For more than 1 year ALL LANDLINE calls local/STD made from a BSNL landline number is treated as a local call.
