Default Low Speed on Data Card.

I am using Huawei Data card E303C, recently I used it in 3G network with BSNL sim and got satisfactory results. I was getting about 5.4 MBps speed. On 2G with UMTS mode, I was getting a stable 160 Kbps speed.

but today on 2G network (in city where only 2G is available) I am not getting much speed.. around 50-60 Kbps. Connection drops frequently; says Connected (No Internet Access) whereas same sim on Nokia X2 phone gives stable 128 Kbps speed.

Can you figure out the problem please ??

The speed would be different in different locations so you you can not expect the same speed in all locations. Sometimes speed also differs according to the device which is used and in this case the phone provides better speed.

Try using the connections in different parts of the house, I used to have a Tata connection and in one part of the house j used to get crawling speed and in the other part of the house the speed used to be super fast.

Wireless communications has so many factors contributing to the overall speed that it is almost impossible to determine how to fix a speed issue. The only factor that you can change is location, and even that will give you varied results.

Sorry, but there isn't really a fix for this.
