Bsnl sim activation

I had bought 2 bsnl sim today and submitted all the documents (driving license and photo) and signed the form.....so guys can you tell me how many days it takes to activate the sim and what is the procedure to do it and how to make the new sim into USIM (3G) ?
the shopkeeper told me that it takes about 2-3 days to activate the sim.

It depends on Bsnl how quickly they process new applications. There is no standard time frame. I dont know how it works with Bsnl but with Airtel you just send a text message to 121 writing 3G and follow the steps they send. It must be something similar for Bsnl too so you need to ask either Bsnl or the shopkeeper.

I think it was on the forum somewhere that it takes about 2-3 days for a sim to be activated.

Sim activation's are not as quick as they used to be, and they can take up to a week. So be prepared to wait for that long.
