Seedboxes are primarily for seeding.They offer very high bandwidth for seeding.
People outside India use them a lot.

people who wants to start their own torrent tracker also used to buy a seedbox........i also want to buy one but bcoz of mpaa thing i dropped my idea........

If u are hosting in India, why fear the MPAA? Can they sue us for downloading hollywood movies in our connections. I am a bit rusty on these matters, so please excuse the ignorance.

@ cool_techie_tvm - Coz we live in India, we don't have to worry much about MPAA.
Anyways downloading for personal use is not the most serious piracy-related offence, as long as you don't make money out of it.
Even abroad, they have a policy of sending letters to your isp if they find you downloading copyrighted content.If you repeat the offence 3-4 times, they just cancel your connection.You don't have to pay any damages.

its unsafe on sites like mininova/tpb etc but perfectly acceptable on private trackers..

no the MPAA,RIAA nd FBI like things wont allow these stuffs on ne kind of tracker...............but few country dont hav such rules for MPAA thats why TPB nd mininova like sites establish their servers on these countries............but INDIA have these rules so we cant use MPAA stuff on our sites..............

India has these rules but by the time they're implemented, we'll be old

Plus I don't need a seedbox, I have a good standing at most private trackers...& you can always buy some upload credit...will be cheaper than investing in a seedbox.

Don't ever think of starting your own tracker, its very tedious job with little or no income in return. and chances of getting in hands of law enforcement agencies are high!


So stay away from this business, unless you live in sweden

as i said in my last post also it was all about satisfaction...........

dude dont know abt satisfaction thing but investing in a seedbox can save ur a** a lot more thn donating on a paticular torrent site to buy some upload credit....moreover a seedbox can help in maintaing couple of sites at the same time....so u save alot of headaches..........

about the mpaa thing .....whn the seedbox ip is of europe or us or any other country why u fear of being in trouble......
