You have still missed the point completely. I have already said that I have been able to find whatever content that I want from public trackers. As far as IP reporting goes, this is a recent event; ever since a case was filed again TPB and it was shut down (I heard that it opened again).

Now some points:

a) If the community is closed knit, you can't register. You can't register and you can't get its content. Those who have managed to register, good for them; as for the rest, they can only hope that they will get a chance someday.

b) Public trackers do not demand 1:1 seeding but as a good samaritan, you should do it.

c) I don't know how a 1.4 gb file took 12 hours for you. I downloaded OpenSUSE Linux (4.24 GB) in 7 hrs.

d) The whole argument of seedbox does not make sense to me. I have checked some seedbox schemes and they cost anywhere from $10 to $100 per month. The cheapest schemes allow 2 or 3 torrents only. I have seen people download 6~7 torrents (700 MB files) and the whole stuff downloads during the 6 hour (BSNL) NU window.

e) On top of that the seedbox cost, you are spending about Rs. 662 (Home 500 C+ plan plus taxes). And lest we forget, we still have to download from 2 AM to 8 AM only.

f) Seedbox will help you maintain the ratio but how many of the people here can afford a seedbox?

g) I can buy original (hollywood) DVDs at $15 wherein quality of video and audio is uncompromised. I have checked the so call "best of the lot" AXXO content. It sucks on a full fledged home theater (OK for watching on computer).

dude if everybody cud get what thy want there wud no such concept of private trackers.these r private coz they offer content exclusively.

lol how many do u think r gud samaitans here....coz i rarely find gud samaritans on public trackers.

i told tht time too tht my stats may be incidental but in general public trackers hv got pathetic speeds.

dude its problematic for u...i hv ul 1350 plus so i can dwnld the whole day .Talking of the cost i think i pay much more than u.

dude thts the problem with ppl...affordablity will ease just give it some time plus whn u r on scenetrackers n other higher lvl sites maintaing a sb becomes addictive.one u see one u will never let go it.

dude AXXO is known for its scene releases..the quality is compromised in the speed to get the thing released first on the net.

@viper, it is not the question of money, it is the question of using money wisely.

It is not question of my personal wealth; whether I cannot afford something, etc.

I am fairly well off and I can easily afford one of the (costly) $50 seedbox schemes. But I was talking about the general community. Personally I do not see any value add. I find buying original DVDs much more worth it.

I sometimes do download a movie here and then, but I make it a point to buy the original, especially if I like the movie and feel it worth adding to my library.

You are of course entitled to your opinion and I respect that. With that I leave the argument.
