    Lightbulb are domains permanent?

    hi,
this is my first thread so pls reply me ...

if i buy a domain name for abt $10 a year, then i will surely have to renew after a year...

But is there anyfacility or way of buying that our domain names remain forever or lifetime..that we do not have to renew once registered or new bought ?

    Pl reply to me.

I think there is some facility like that. Coz at many registrars, when you search for some domain, for example, google, you will see that these domains are taken permanently. So if they can, then definitely anyone can. It's just not because they own Internet.

But be ready to spend good amount of money for buying a permanent domain.

No, you can't register .com, .net, .name, .info, .org, & domains of most other widely used extensions permanently. The only exceptions that come to mind are .gov & .mil.

Google.com is not taken permanently, it expires on 14-sep-2011.

AS far as I know Google was registered in 1997 and it was renewed again , so they renew it once in 10 years or 7 years but they can never have it permanently

Yea. No one can register any domain permanently. All you've to do is to renew the domain before it gets expired.
