Exclamation Need Radeon HD4850 and cheap PSU

I need a radeon hd 4850 Gfx card ..prefferably with some warranty left over it also i need a cheap power supply that i can use with it.. i've also seen in some threads that we can use our standard 400/450w psu with the gfx card by simply buying / making a 2x4 pin IDE to 6-pin PCI-e converter.. if that is possible can anyone clear me on that as well ?

    My pc config (present)
    Dual core 2.1 Ghz (OC)
    Gigabyte 945, lga 775
    500+250GB hdd
    sony dvd burner
    Intex 400 W PSU..

Hey guy and i can't afford all those 1 K plus PSU's .. so please tell me a cheaper alternative if i have to change my psu.. what i can do max is that change my present standard 400w psu with a better 450/500 W standar psu.. which costs aroung 500-600 bucks

    ...
My budget for card is around 3.8 K max

If I remember correctly, usually the graphic cards which require a 6-pin connector comes with an adapter which bundles two 4-pin connectors to a single 6-pin connector. This I have seen in a 9600GT. But I am not sure of a 4850 GFX. Otherwise also you ca get an adapter from a local graphic card dealer.

Your 400W PSU should just be able to handle the 4850GFX card. But I don't know about the quality of the Intex model. Since your budget is low, the only suitable option is VIP 450W which costs something around Rs. 800.

ok thanks for the help man.. so you are saying that i can work out with a cheaper 450 w psu rather than going for costly branded ones..
does the vip 450w psu u mentioned come with 6 pin pci-e connector cable ? or would i still have to buy a 4 pin to 6 pin cable for that..?
also can anyone actually assure me that this combination would work with 4850? perhaps if any one has tried with similar config...i would be get more assured. also i wont be runnig under very high res.. coz my 19 inch lcd has max 1440x900 res

The VIP one is also quite reliable though cheap. That's a different thing that if you can go for a Corsair VX450 you will be just very happy with that. But this VIP one can also provide enough juice to the graphic card. But this one doesn't have the 6 pin connector. For that you have to increase your budget and look for something like Cooler Master Real power 650W etc.
