Thread: Cheap gaming PSU ? Help !

My pc config is--

Dual core 2.1 Ghz
gigabyte 945 mobo
1 gb ddrII at 667 Mhz
250+500 GB HDD
dvdr
SMPS(present) - intex 400w

actually i'm not presently happy with this Power supply so i would be changing it...
i need to power a sapphire HD4850 512 MB ddr III.. so i'm wondering which cheap psu should i get for it.. i dont have very high demands from the card.. i would play at max 1440x900 res

So i would like to know that exactly which PSU should i buy which comes under 1 K and would serve the purpose.. i'm ready to buy any standard PSU with 500w power ... it may or may not have a 6 pin pci-e connector.. . i hope if i use a 2x 4pin Ide to 6-pin pci-e converter ,it would serve the purpose easily.. but which 500w supply to buy ? i live near delhi .. and can purchase from nehru place but i need advice first
