    Lightbulb Need a Blackberry!!!

    Hi,

Need a Blackberry phone, preferably CDMA. I would prefer it if it were one of the Blackberry world phone series, which supports CDMA as well as GSM.

I am planning to use it with a Tata Indicom CDMA connection, and thus it will be very important that BIS works on it, with Tata Indicom.

The reason I am asking here is that, Tata Indicom currently have only a bold 9650 model priced at Rs. 29000. This is out of my budget by quite a lot of zeroes.

Since I am planning to use a Blackberry for the first time, any suggestions from experienced Blackberry users are welcome.

If anyone has such a Blackberry phone, and if you wanna sell it, please send an e-mail to netherwinterknights@yahoo.com,
    • mentioning original purchase date,
    • condition (with photos if possible),
    • and the price that you expect me to pay.

    Thanks,
    -NWK.

    Cool

    Hi,

Received a reply (e-mail) from Mr. Vijay Kumar, about a Bold 9780. However, the Bold 9780 is not a CDMA Blackberry phone, and neither does it support dual technologies, like the Storm 9530. Thus this phone is unfortunately not what I am looking for.

The models I am looking for would be: Tour 9630, Bold 9650, from the dual tech models. Any other pure cdma blackberry device would do just fine; i.e. curve 8330, or curve 8530.

I DO NOT want a pure GSM Blackberry handset.

    Thanks, and the search continues..
    -NWK

CDMA Blackberry with BIS (Blackberry service) is possible only if bought from official channel. BIS can not be activated on Open market CDMA Blackberry.
If you are willing to use CDMA Blackberry without Blackberry service, there are several options available from around 6.5K onwards.
Alternatively, to enjoy the real power of CDMA 3G (EVDO) you can go for an Android.

    @panchabhut:

I know that about BIS on CDMA.

I use one GSM and one CDMA phones. However, I just purchased a Nokia c6-00. So, wanted to get a BB for the CDMA number.

I don't want to have a 3rd phone to fumble with. Search is still on for a CDMA BB. I actually want to try a BB, as everyone of my friends who use a BB, say that a BB is so great and all.

I know about Android, but not much of an option on CDMA, only available option is Galaxy POP.

Due to network strength issues, I need the CDMA phone, else I would have ported my number to a GSM one.

I have a Blackberry Storm unlocked one, purchased from USA.

Used it for 6-7 months. Body, ultra clean and nice condition.

Let me know, if you are interested.
