Thumbs up New, unused, HTC Wildfire for sale

    Hello everyone,

I have a brand new, unused, HTC Wildfire for sale.

The only issue is that the IMEI number has been blocked in the UK.
It will still work fine out side of the UK..

This phone is totally legitimate. I was sent 2 by mistake and instead of asking me to return it, the phone company blocked it instead.

Please PM me with any offers.

    Kind regards to all.

Forget about being IMEI blocked in UK.( OK .atleast you are honest about it) Since you are in India ,why dont you insert any Local working sim and see whether it works in India ? Are you afraid you will be tracked ?
Lot of Paki's and Asians get expensive 2 year contract phone in UK@ 80% discount/free & report it lost/stolen and send/sell it to freinds in India.( That must be your story)
If it works in India and If it is new with box & accessories some one in your City may buy across the table if you offer a huge discount (50%)to the local price (as there is no waranty & reportedly lost/stolen in UK)

Mention your city and always quote a price.

    Thumbs up

    Hello my friend.

I am actually in the UK right now so I am unable to test with an Indian SIM.

I must say, I haven't reported this stolen. It was a genuine error by the phone company who sent me two phones by mistake. When I called to inform them, they just blocked the IMEI rather than asking me to send it back.

It's a brand new phone so I thought it would be good to try and sell it to someone who could get some use from it.

I will happily post by recorded delivery to India to anyone who makes me an offer.

    I can email pictures etc

Talking UK phone IMEI blocked story-panning out as expected

Ha! Since you area genuine person and want somebody to use it,we are happy to check whether it works in India. BUUUUUUUUUUUuTTTTTT

One Condition: we will send payment after receipt of goods and reception in India and see that it is not a dead phone.
we shall fix the price in Rs=equivalent to Sterling Pounds thro Moneygram or in to your relative's or your's "anywhere banking a/c" in India.

You can see in this forum lot of people have posting history not "Second post " like yours.

if you are expecting payment in advance and think that we will wait for recorded delivery -we will classify you as a sub branch of Nigerian scam!!!:p

If you expecting pre payment- I have a item for sale -Kindly put advts in UK blog. It is called "Howrah Bridge - very historic bridge too.you get 25% commision.

If some one want to buy the bridge thro advance payment- I will post pictures too !

Coming back to your phone - I will start the bid @Rs 3000 ( Iam expecting more bids. This will be an open auction)

I have a Nexus-S and Nexus One.I can give your phone to my kid.

Go thro the history of each bidder in this forum(old posts) to find out how genuine they are!

N.B: you are giving me lot of scam ideas: get a second hand note book, manage a sim with out address proof (available for rs 300) get 3G in it and start selling IMEI blocked Galaxy s2 in UK at half price !!!)

    Hello tolkapiam.

I can understand any skepticism as there are definitely a lot of scammers out there. I can assure you I am genuine. I will happily prove this any way I can.

I have never used this forum before but I was looking for an Indian forum with a buy-sell section and that is why I joined. I have not listed this phone anywhere else.

I would not ask for payment upfront as I can see this could raise suspicions but at the same time I wouldn't want to send the item without payment.

So how do you normally do business here? Do you use a company like Escrow? I will happily get a 3rd party involved in order to ensure a smooth sale. Or I could list on ebay so that the item is covered.

    Please advise me.

    Thanks.

I do understand your concern about security for the payment.
But since you have already mentioned that this phone IMEI is blocked, any one will hesitate .I will. I buy from popular Etailers here like Letsbuy.com, Flipkart,Snapdeal.com too on COD!!
In the last 4 weeks I have bought a laptop, 18X zoom digital camera,8 GB SDHC class 10 memeory card,4 GB SDHC class 4 memeory card, Altec lansing speakers for Laptop ,Envie Battery charger+ 4 AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.------all on Cash on delivery (except one)

The popular Indian sites are afraid of negative publicity. Last week I wrote a neagtive review about Letsbuy.com in Mouth shut.com for delayed shipment and not giving prompt answer.
with in 30 minutes ,the management called me and told me sorry and will ship it soon. ( Today I got the item in question)

Your best choice will be Ebay. No body uses eskrow ( only for commercial shipments say 200 pcs like that)

So I with draw my bid ! .
some one more technically confident and willing to take a risk with you in ebay will send message or post.

My original suspicion about your post (UK blocked sob story)was correct!
    End of discussion.

I'm afraid your suspicions are not correct. I asked for you to advise me on the best way to proceed. Escrow and ebay were just my immediate thoughts. If they do not suit this type of transaction then I will happily look for an alternative. That is why I asked you how you do business here. If you are serious about a bid, then it is within your interest.

How does cash on delivery work? How do I gaurantee my own safety? I am just as likely to be scammed by you as you understand.
