Thread: which is the best internet provider amongst the above??

the terms of this poll are that the provider must be good in customer satisfaction: return to money, choice of plans for diff types of people, high uptime(obviously low downtime), good customer care, and yes speed!!!

Hmm i have only used Sify broadband, which is not good and i would not even recommend it to anyone either, but i also have recently started using the Tata Indicom USB connection, which is actually better than Sify, because it doesn't let me down, and because its wireless the net can be accessed from anywhere!

Strange BSNL or MTNL or Airtel option is missing

Railwire could become great if they expand.

Using Alliance Broadband for the last 2 weeks in Kolkata. Seems to b pretty good with constant speeds and fantastic after sales service. I opted for the 640kbps unlimited plan at Rs 1399. I am enjoying it out here!:8:

u can call a ISP "best" when it provide following things

1,Optic Fiber connectivity.
2,constant speed 24X7 with no silly exception of peak hours,higher no of user logged in etc.
3,Fast ping times.
4,Low latency.
5.Affordable Broadband plans.

if ur ISP have this then u can say its the "BEST".

If this is what this poll is refering as standards then none of the ISP in India stand a chance of being marked as Best.

I'm using Tata too. What's wrong with Sify? I haven't used it yet but my friend is planning to take it. So I was wondering if you could share here what made it not so good.

None !!!! All are crap in there own ways. We should get 2 mbps UL @ 250 RS. thats what the cost outside India.

Ouch! Oh well, can't do anything about it anyways. But anything is better than nothing right. I don't really see why better companies like what you mentioned would open lines on us in here. We're willing to pay. Gee. :rockon:
