    Dude
    I was with 5net....
I remember those days when they had extra bandwidth..
The speeds will be only what u're entitled to..nothing more
    Customer service is fair...
But its USP is its all Mumbai LAN hub...
They have so much stuff sharing in one of those...

Man this 5 net work has so many sub-branches.... Net8 online, smapada & what not funny names for diff. areas.

I can't believe in Mumbai there aren't any Cable aka Fibre to home net providers!

The only one I can see are these 5 net idiots.

Tata everyone else has DSL...to hell with DSL where is FTH?

Default Whether to switch to Five network!

I am thinking of switching from MTNL to five network in Powai.

Five is offering an unbeatable deal of 1 MBPS unlimited @ Rs 500 inclusive of taxes per month. I am currently paying the same amount to MTNL for 320 KBPS. lol.

Does anyone have any experience with these guys? Is the service good? Is there too much downtime? Do they give the speed which they claim? Or will I end up losing my installation money?

If there is little downtime and they can actually give me speeds of 100 kilo bytes/ sec unlimited for 500 bucks a month, I will be very happy to switch.

Please give advice based on your experiences with five network.

Another thing that I would like to know is that since Five provides its services through cable operators, is there a uniformity in consistency of service? Or, will it depend on the whims and fancies of the particular cable operator, in my case the Powai operator.

Any thoughts, suggestions and experiences are kindly sought.

    Thank you

I'm agree with sandeep, You will require internet speed mostly for downloading files like movies, music etc and on five net hub I can download same file with 8 mbps max speed irrespective I'm havin plan of 256 kbps and I'm happy with my browsing speed.
