Default How to increase download speed in pppoe connection

    Hi,

I am using cable net. My plan is 256kb/s unlimited.
Before, my cable operator use to provide static ip and 24online client for login.
But now there is pppoe [dial-up] connection, so there's no static ip.
I am using a wireless router on which i have configured pppoe connection.
Is there a way to increase the download speed on this pppoe connection ,.i.e., from 32KB-800KB . Because when i had 24online client ,.i.e., static ip it was possible.
Can anyone plz help. Coz 256kb connection is too slow and high speed internet is too expensive.

    Thank you.

Switch to different Broadband providers who offers cheap pricing
    They are many like
    Internext
    Nivyah
    Rasanet
MTNL(was able to get 179kbps while downloading for Surfing speed of 256Kbps)

As far as I can tell... Nivyah, 5 net, net 8 online etc. are the one and the same they get their bandwidth from the same servers.

I say give them a skip but you can try with them if you want.

Question You cannot get the speed all the time

In your case, you cannot get the speed all the time. it means, it is not slow but this is how the cable network will work.
