    Question BSNL VS Cable Broadband

Which BB connection is better,as far as speed and stability is concern.BSNL Broadband?? or Cable Broadband?Guys having Cable BB line please share your experience.I hope frequent disconnection problem will not occur in Cable BB, it will have good speed also. What do you think guys?please share your views.

512 kbps to 2 Mbps speed would be great for me.I am using BSNL750 UL,I want to have unlimited cable broadband.

download speed= according to ur plan

upload speed = better than dsl providers... u know the reason..

connection : donot ask me.. bsnl in my area is ****.. or worst then ****.. as present my net is down for 4 days ... for cable bb the best policy is to give the local tech. man a 100 bucks for 6 months and whenevr u have problem simply ask him to come and repair..

networking or sharing conection between more than one desk top may creat problem for cable broadband. networking if allowed, good in bsnl, but most bsnl custmers faces intermititent disconection (indicated by link light in modems, i dont know what is the solution). as far i know cable broadband is stable as per conection but dnload speed not so gr8 in under 1000/months subscription.
if frequent disconection not happened bsnl is much better than cable bb. but worst as per customer care.

but most bsnl custmers faces intermititent disconnection

May be it should be " a few " instead of most. Using BSNL for around 2.5 years now, no line issues apart from 2 days maintenance related issue some one year back.

(indicated by link light in modems, i dont know what is the solution).

Also, cable broadband is managed as poor as BSNL at times. I am not favouring BSNL. But in some cases BSNL is better and in other cable broadband (especially tariff). Check those who use in your area and decide. But if it is provided by local cablewala, better opt for BSNL.

Default Cable is cheap but unreliable !!!

Usually cable providers use trees in your neighborhood to join network switches & lan cables. As a result a little too much wind & your connection is gone temporarily. This happens with one of my friends.

I have used BSNL, no issues. Also Airtel 3G which is expensive & unstable.

IMO BSNL is the wise choice.

not here in kolkata at least. the contract labours of bsnl is continuing indefenite strike since last 2 months and any faullt arises in line conection, there is no service back up. in other words all maintance works at standstill here.
also when there is normal condition , if some fault arise need atleast 2 weaks to rectify.
and if ur modem arise a fault , due to line fault , of blinking the link light(in my case nokia siemens c2110) occationaly , then be sure there is no remedy.
