New BroadBand Net Xpress Launched In CHENNAI

Hi Guys,

There is a new entry regards to ISP field in Chennai called NET EXPRESS. Currently they are Operating in Adyar , Gandhi Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur till Palavakkam (ECR)

Got the connection 1 Mbps today (Changed from BSNL)

Pros : Fiber Optics , Promising Speed, Wi-Fi can be configured, No F.U.P, Unlimited plans , Cheap when compared to other ISP's (BSNL has revised (Hiked) their plan 25 rs/- to 50rs/- depending on the Tariff w.e.f 01/03/2013)

Cons : No Auto dialer (same reliance BB) , Cable Modem, No combo pack (Phone n Net)

They are the Subsidiary of Micronovaimpex

Net express website is not up and running yet, called up customer care n got the info that it will be done maximum by 15th March - WIP

So far no complaints, Impressed

Data Usage Unlimited - No F.U.P

Hi guys
Its been 1 month since i took the connection from Netxpress. Thought of giving a feed back.
I used Reliance prior to my BSNL connection, In reliance there was no Auto - Dialer , it will disconnect automatically if idle for about 20 -30 mns and again have to sign in. Same process applies to Netxpress as well (No Auto-Dialer)
Apparently in Netxpress until and unless you switch off the modem for about 5- 10 mns, it wont disconnect you.

Speed : So far good , No drop down, No Torrent throttling, Not varying
Connection : Stable (Tested for 72 hours - works like a charm)
I have attached Screen shots of the Speed test and the torrent download speed (Can check the DU-Meter -Gadget)
Overall Happy with the connection

You can very well go ahead and take the Netxpress Cable Broadband. Since 2 months i am having the connection and no issues with it. No drop-down of speed (They are using Fiber Optics). you will be getting constant 128 -131 KB/sec on downloads.
No torrent throttling
Regarding call center - honestly i don't have any idea ..... they have given me a Technical Head's number when they came for installation. I never had any issues yet, so didn't try to call yet.
They will be providing you a cable Modem which has an Ethernet port. You can connect that to your computer only (wired).
You can very well configure it with Wifi Router. I am using TP-LINK router


Got it from Flipkart and its having 5 Dbi antenna. Very good in performance. The other routers comes with only 2 or 3 Dbi antenna. Tp-Link has 3 years warranty which other companies are not offering.
The price when i bought was 1049 Rs/- only
You can configure it with Netxpress. You can use up to 256 devices connected to TP-LINK router with out any problems

I have given contact numbers of Prem and Ashok , the second number is for Ashok. Try to call guy called Ashok.
From my experience Prem's Number will be busy most of the time.
One more thing i would like to remind you ..... Once you give the payment to them, you have to keep on calling and push them to install it. Coz its a new company and they wont be able to make it on time.
When I paid, they promised me in 4 days installation. but took 10 days.

But once it gets installed i can guarantee you that "ITS WORTH FOR MONEY & VERY GOOD CONNECTION"

Regarding Installation << I paid 2183 Rs/- for 3-months>> . That is 1500 for three months and 500 for Modem (Refundable) + Tax = 2183 Rs/-

If you ask for 1 month , they will take 500 for installation + 500 for Modem + 500 for one month charge + Tax = 1700 Rs/-

So better go for 3 months and wave off the installation charges.

Torrents - 110 KB - 118 KB and in single file download its constant 125 KB

they do not have any professional support other than sales

they are very smart to sell

after that for 5-10 days u ll get good service as they claim


after that, within 30 minutes to 1 hrs it will start to disconnect


if you try to reconnect, you will see other ppl are using ur connection (you have already logged in .....kind of error messages)

but where to complain

No customer support

u will face only unprofessional sales ppl

or silly line men...


careful before taking this connection


they will cheat and steal your hard earned money

but after the sales from 1 week to 3 weeks your connection will begin to disconnect after half an hour of use

where you will call? no customer care!!!! Only marketing people

Only unprofessional sales ppl or line men will attend and they will start to blabber as it is your problem

They will simply increase your BP

pls don take risk since it is your hard earned money

Lat week i had an issue with my connection, i was not able to login to the webportal where we give the User ID and Password
It was rectified in 15 - 20 mns, I will provide you with the customer care numbers (even i didnt had it for a long time , no one gave while installation. I called up the guy who came for installation and sales they provided me the number)
Only the negative part is, they will be working from 9 AM - 6 PM (but any issues they used to resolve it in the same day, 30 minutes to 1 hour time frame, after u complaint)

I had the Netxpress connection for one month now. If you are lucky you will get everything smooth. Unfortunately it was not for me. The sales guy ( Mr. Logeswaran / Logesh)
did not stick to his promises. I had to wait almost a month. Promised wifi router - did not receive it yet. You will be on the mercy of the sales guy, since these guys are new. Call center number is a joke (which is landline) , since the lady just says call the sales guy.

No website, you have to pay by cash ! Once month is due you need to call the collection agent to come and collect.

Speed so far is acceptable though. Downtimes are high compared to BSNL/Airtel. (expected)
Worth a shot (cheap and good speed). Just be careful about the sales guy. Avoid this particular person.

I have to say NetXpress is a very small company. They have coverage in very low number of areas in Chennai (Adyar, Thiruvanmyur, Kottivakkam and a few others). I started out with 4Mbps unlimited connection but now using 8Mbps. The download speed is very consistent (from 600kBps to 950kBps). The upload speed is also GREAT! GREAT AS IN DOWNLOAD SPEED = UPLOAD SPEED GREAT! I uploaded a 800MB movie to Mega.co.nz under 20mins!

They use Coaxial cable (the normal cable wala cable) and NOT fiber!

Sometimes the speed will be decreased but otherwise it's fine. They TRULY have NO LIMITATIONS for DL/UL! No censorship or torrent throttling!

Though I have faced a number of issues like:
Slow speed
Frequent disconnections
Through night blackouts

It is true that the customer care is NOT very good. They mostly don't know what they are talking about.

But I still will stick with them!
Because:
You have to call and talk with Cx Care VERY often and they will get the issues fixed.
Upload speed is superb.
Download speed is very nice too.
They sincerely try to resolve the issues (but a bit sluggishly) and they will get it resolved.

You are right, you will be getting Coaxial cable connected to your cable modem.

Would like to inform you that Co-axial cable starts from the external Box/Hub only. Till that HUB/BOX Optic fibre will be running

In short if you need a connection, they will check the feasibility of the Optic cable passing near by your area. Will check for the Hub feasibility. From Hub they will give you a Co-Axial cable connection to your cable modem.

Its not like they are getting the internet connection and running it through Co-axial Cable through out Chennai

Your speed depends on the distance between Hub and Modem, check with them.....

Check with the modem price in Flipkart, they are giving a 5% Off and now the price came down to 952 or something like that. The modem is worth

You can do a straight set up using disk

By the way its compatible with DD-WRT and if you are a techie you can turn your modem to a Super Wifi Modem using DD-WRT

Yeah, they have fiber as back haul for carrying data from distribution points (ADSL equivalent is DSLAM). For me I am rather near their server, so I am getting latency times close to 6ms to 10ms when I speed test with Bharathi Airtel Chennai server!

If you are looking to take NetXpress connection, my advice is not to go to NetXpress.

I have paid money for new connection 10 days back, still they are not given the connection. Sales guy is not at all responding to my call. Finally, i called to their office to explained the problem, they asked me to wait 4 more days. Nothing was done after four days. So, i decided to cancel my order, they are saying it will take 10 more days to give back my hard earned money.

Guys, my sincere advice is better not to go for NetXpress. They are cheaters, No punctuality, doesn't know how to speak with customer.
I lost my hard earned money. There won't be customer care to handle/provide solution to your problem.
I lost not only my hard earned money but also my precious time.


Now, I am planning to raise a complaint against them.

The customer service is very worst. These guys promise a lot but they never do. believing them is the biggest mistake you will do and will regrate like me later. I told them to disconnect the net bcoz of there worst service 2 and 1/2 months ago and they never did it. every time i call there customer service, a girl will say she will initiate the process and there after there will not be any call. next time you call again she will tell you she will initiate the process and she did this 4 time till date but no result.
Guys my experiance with them is very worst and my request is don't waste your time and money. cheers.....

Net express is the worst broadband service I have ever seen speed is good but connectivity is worst it disconnects automatically and it will not work most of the time hardly it works for 10 to 12 hours a day

Guys, its all old story that they are good. Now they are trust less, worthless.. Its 3 months I have taken this connection and suffered a lot. I took my connection at Thiruvanmiyur Chennai and my 90 days observation.
REASONS NOT TO TAKE THIS CONNECTION
1. Sales guys provide u the best in ever story telling.
20 days guarantee period will be provided. After that even if u call for any assistance, they will not answer your call. Guess on getting details, they will store the mobile number on name, Do not attend. This is practical experience, since when my tired from my mobile they didn't pick the call, but when I called from friends mobile, they picked the call.
2. No Proper customer care support. No complaint no. tracking. Every 30mins U have to call and remind the issue. Never ever they respond properly.
3. Frequent cable/fiber cuts. Since prepaid u have no option of getting refund of your money. Their technology does not support for days increment too. Particularly net wont be available on Saturdays and Sunday.
4. Worlds ever first kind of MAC duplication. Their technical experts explanation for frequent disconnects. MAC clash happens are their router.
5. Cheating on validity. If u may subscription for 90 days, u subscription will be cheated decreased before 7 days itself. As mentioned earlier sat and sun net disconnects (12) , validity decrease (10) and fiber cuts (10). In total out of 90 day subscription 27 days net was not present. U cant claim this any where.
6. No online recharge facility. U have u fix the appointment when the collection agents instructs you. If u miss, u have to run behind him for your subscription to be paid. (Dont think that u will get it activated, he has to submit all the collected money in the office, then they will prepare a list, the list has to reach the tech team, then ur subscription will be activated.
7. Speed is ok, but not stable. U can have this viewed from torrent download graph.
8. User name clash will occur, if u don't disconnect the net properly. In case of sudden crash, and PC is restarted, u will not be able to login. Dependent on customer care (Point 1 explains the customer care functionality).
9. No grievance Cell, appellate authority to get your issues resolved.

Believing this net, I have disconnected my net from another service provider. Now they have no node to provide me.

SO DONT GET INTO TROUBLE, BY GETTING THIS CONNECTION.

I agree to this feedback, they are not a great ISP! I switched from Airtel to Net Xpress and felt that I have made a wrong decision! Recently the quality of service has improved a bit but not upto the mark! Whenever the internet is working, it will work with normal speed but many times it doesn't work!!! This is after using their service for 3 months, I guess their target is only to take 3 months internet connection!

They do not have any customer service team, all they have is 1 mobile number and 1 landline number, whenever you call them they will react as if you are the only one facing this issue!

This feedback is in Palavakkam! In Thirvanmiyur, you have a ISP called You Broadband and I heard their service and speed are very good.

I have been using Netxpress for last 3 months. They are one of the worst ISPs in Chennai. Works only few hours in a day, about 2 days a week. Customer care will not receive call when there is a complaint or give a standard reply, Optic fiber cable is cut, wait for 2 hours. I am getting the same reply for last 3 months. No proper followup on complaint. It would take 8 to 10 hours to resolve, then work for few hours and again line drops. They are cheaters. They are keen to get new connection only and loot money in name of net connection. I would rate is as 0/10 for customer service.

You should move to another service provider, if a complaint or problem takes s long to get resolved or looked into, it is best to disconnect the connection. You could consider You Broadband, which is got some positive reviews.

Its really wonderful to have 2mbps for such a cheap rate! Hope some day they will be within our reach at Kolkata.

This is the worst problem with these region based small companies.. Like Sal said try calling their customer care if they have any and yes did you took his mobile number ?

Get hold of the nodel officer or some higher ranked person in customer care. Do take note of when the problems have started, as if you are on a postpaid connection you will be given a full bill. You really need to chase up companies when problems occur, unfortunately it is the only way.
