    You cannot set up the modem to dial on its own unfortunately because your ISP requires you to sign up using the browser. There is a script you can use to connect automatically from your computer and connect again if it disconnects for some reason. You can find it here : https://github.com/anoopjohn/Asianet-Auto-Login-Script

    Along with that script you can set up your computer to start up at a set time every night and shut down on its own. You would have to fiddle with the BIOS thought. Let me know if you are interested and I can try explaining how to set it up.

    Some one please correct me if I am wrong This is the best I know.

    Its all there on that page. The guy who wrote the script has explained everything step by step. If I post it here it would be copy pasting which I dont like to do. Go to that website link instead and follow the step by step tutorial. If you get stuck on something I am here to help but please come up with specific questions.

    Hi

    What is the default username & password of an asianet modem.

    We are trying to connect a DVR to the LAN port for DMZ / port forwarding. The ISP requires us to sign up via browser, in that case will port forwarding work?

    To be honest any ISP requiring browser login and has either a time bound log out or usage based log out is not reliable enough for a DVR or any other security related stuff. My suggestion to you would be to get an adsl connection or a connection from another ISP that provided you a static IP and does not require login. Always on connection is the way to go.

    Thanks Admin, but we've got to try it once that's the scenario. What about the default credentials of the asianet ?

    If it is a Cisco then the default IP is 192.168.0.1 and there is no user name or password. When you get a window to enter user name and password just leave them blank and hit enter and it should log you in.

    @Admin

    I have recently subscribed to Asianet broadband. Unfortunately I will be leaving for my studies abroad and the only devices left back at home would have to be connected through wireless. I have already bought a TP-Link WR740N router. But I have no knowledge how to configure it. I would be really grateful, if you could explain me how i can get this thing to work.

    Thanks in advance!

    PS: The modem provided by Asianet is DASAN H665G
