Well no harm in posting and imagining that maybe just one day we may has these cars, who knows, life changes things in many ways, lets hope for the best!

No harm in dreaming as long as you don't keep dreaming only. You can do something spectacular only if you dream about it.
Dream with eyes wide open.
I have an extremely strong intution that you are going to get money from very unexpected sources... in days to come.
A beamer may be? or a merc on the cards?
Hanumaan ji is kind of impressed with me these days and I am going to the mandir tommorow ... will say a prayer for you![]()

Thank you, Admin. While a beemer/merc will be rand to own, it will be a headache to own. Even a small scratch will give a minor heart attack.
I do not intend to sell/exchange my Santro. I wish to keep the small car for city life.
The dillemma is like this:
a) Innova makes most sense - one because it is diesel and two it can carry 7/8 people. So per seat cost of Innova (12L in Pune) is 1.5~1.7L. Daily running costs will be lower although there will be some major costs during engine overhauls. I expect to keep the car for 6/7 years and looking at my previous car ownerships, I will not cross 70K miles during the period.
b) Corolla Altis or Civic will make a statement. The comfort will be much higher. The differential cost between Innova and Altis is just 1.25L. Corolla is cheaper to Civic by about 46K in Pune. The new corolla, in spite of being latest redesign, still looks like a girl next door to Bipasha Basu.
c) The dealer of Toyota in Pune was our neighbour for 10+ years - recently moved to his own palatial bunglow. He has offered me more discount than standard. Also the Toyota showroom is walking distance from my home. If I buy a Toyota vehicle, I can just drop it at the showroom and it will be delivered to me at my convinience. Comparatively, the Honda service center is 16 km away and I have to cross the entire heart of the city in heavy traffic. But as I said, Civic is so much more appealing.

you have many different reasons to choose the cars of your choice, and each reason is good and valid, you seem to be in a stuck situation J4K, i know i would be, how will you decide now?![]()
Last time he had his mind set on Innova , cause it was big and had too much space for all family members and comfort. I like innova too, dont know y some people dislike it.
On the other hand a CIVIC is too much of a car. With a lil customization ( side skirts and HID Conversion Kits : I m not sure if CIVIC comes with it like Laura ) it looks out of the world.
Honda cars are very good and reliable too i think!
Oh! I am rather happy that I don't have to take a decision right now coz I don't have spare cash right now. Also expecting some interest rates dropping. As I said in my previous post:
a) If I go by the head, it will be Innova
b) If I go by the heart, it shall be Civic
c) Altis is somewhere in between.
There is one thing about the Sedans though - the ride comfort is higher because of the lower posture.
There is one more thing that is worrying me. The Innova was introduced sometime in 2002. So it is due for an upgrade soon. I would rather prefer to have a new model. Does anyone have any news on this?
On a side note, the thread is going totally offtopic. Should I split the non-relevant stuff into another thread?
I think he is talking about the original list on the first page, not j4kix's cars.

what is a prototype.............???
sorry for asking but i cant start a thread for it.........
prototype definition | Dictionary.com ...
in simple words - model of something original.
Actually, In this context of cars prototype means something else.
When car companies design new cars they first build one or two
as a concept verification. The see if this turns out as expected
and show it around. Then if they decide to go into mass production
they manufacture lots of those cars. The first cars they built
is the prototype.
So in this context, the cars I posted above are not 'prototypes'
but 'scale models' of the original cars. A prototype Lamborghini murcielago
probably will go for millons of dollars ;-)

exactly .. this is actually what a prototype is ... not only for cars but for everything ... thats why i provided the link and kept it simple in my words... prototyping is also a common software development process model ... where you keep building upon the basic prototype
