| that not totally true. Premium fuel has a higher octane(in case of petrol)/cetane(in case of diesel) values. That means that it would have lower knocking properties, resulting in a smoother drive. For expensive cars, specially diesel cars, its always better to go for premium fuel as the use of cheaper fuels could damage the internal parts of the engine. |

But,Premium petrol is known to cause less pollution and maintain a cleaner engine through the detergents it contains.If not economically profitable, polluting levels can be considered on a wider perspective.. |
