I still like the ambasadors because the rear seats are so comfortable and the car itself being heavy you dont ever feel the bumps while driving on crapy Indian roads

Back seat of an ambassador is pretty comfortable on Indian roads.
But if you look at the over all functionality, then Honda engines are the best followed by Toyota.

Well i would say that Merc has the most secure cars in India. You can also count in Beamer and other high price brands. Like the moral of the story is that the more you spend the more better thing you get.

Well limousine are not the most secured as a limo car is just a stretch of some car. You can get any car converted into limo. The difference is made on the things used to secure it like bullet proof windshield etc etc... .

Well as of the most secure car and the cheapest secure car i would like to go with Skoda Octavia and Laura as they are built like tanks and i would say that they are the best in their line.

This question is too loaded - without budget figure one cannot really say. For instance, if price and fuel econony were no object, a Hummer would be a good deal. But being realistic and down-to-earth, let me assume that you are looking at cars available made in India (you can buy a Hummer via someone who imports it for you and that is not the route assumed here). Going by price brackets, and strictly as per your norms (strong and secure), I would suggest the following:

    < 3 lakhs: Maruti Alto
    3~4.5: Fiat Palio
    4.5~6.5: Ford Ikon
    6.5~9: GM Optra
    9~13: Skoda Octavia
    13~20: Honda Accord
    20~30: Mercedes C-Class
    30~50: Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5 Series

But these are my opinions only.

Every car in this world can be afforded. It all depends on a person pocket but as per your suggestion i would say that it is a good one. Skoda is really a good company.

There is never any car which is safe in this world but it becomes safe or unsafe depending on the person who is driving it. But still it terms of ruddiness, as said by previous member, i felt ambassador with its ruddy look and strong body could be the safest car, i guess.

if you are talking about bullet proof and bomb proof then you can make almost every car the most secured car.. it would just cost a few lacks rupees.

Once again a loaded question. How can you suggest anything without a budget presentation? If I say, Sumo Grande, would you accept the suggestion?

Yes thats true... infact the bump wud feeel the car in this case..

SWIFT.... has anyone had a bang with this car ? One of the toughest Cars. Bang it with a Skoda and see..

Icon .... No chance that you'll collide (you r so much concentrated while driving this Hard Car)

    Accent .... Gets damaged easily

Honda (City) .. dont take it elsewhere.

Fiat .... Sturdy and safe but not so low centre of gravity...

Toyotas .... Sturdy but not really safe.

GM's .... Thin guage bodies. Sturdy but not VERY Safe.

Mahindra / Tata ..... you need guts and courage to bang them

In all... Swift and SX4 are Very very Sturdy and safe....

Need not talk about Limmos, BMWs, Mercs, Jaguars, Hummers, Saab, Maserati etc etc..
