Default I need a new car within 50 Lakh rupees

I am fed up with the Toyota Innova that I drive these days which I bought almost 5 years ago although it has never given me any trouble but I would like something more happening. I have a small Skoda Fabia diesel as well but thats just for those small trips to the shops and stuff.

    My requirements are :

Has to be a big car ( I cant drive a low car on the highway, I get scared being so close to the road for some reason)

Should have ABS and traction control would be an added bonus and I wouldnt mind spending a little extra for that.

Should have airbags for all passengers and to the sides as well.

4X4 would be ideal but I dont really need it so I am happy without it aswell.

Fuel : I dont mind a Petrol or a Diesel.

Tyres : Has to be atleast 17 inch Alloys

I also need this car to have a "good" company fitted music system and speakers.

At the moment I am looking at the

    Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4

What do you guys think about it? Looks good to me but I have never got a chance to drive it so have no idea what the driving experience would be like...

I would be more then happy to spend a little extra if a company is financing at anything less then 7% like BMW is doing it with certain models.

    Cool

You need to first decide how long you will keep a car .your selling date before you buy it.
Then you know the depreciation loss.
Utility vehicle like Toyota Innova - 5 years used (say 60000-80k- km driven) you will not incur much loss as prices went up in the last 2-3 years.
Luxury vehicles -high depreciation- Indian roads are crap- why buy luxury cars that have low ground clearence.
get some thing (tallboy) luxury SUV with a high ground clearence unless you need a image like Benz/Beemer/Rover luxury sedans
Is it ok if you sell after 5 years for 40% of the cost?

The following models come to my mind:
    1. Toyota Landcruiser Prado (already suggested)
    2. Ford Endeavour Hurricane Limited Edition
    3. Honda CRV
    4. Toyota Fortuner
    5. BMW X1 or X3
    6. Range Rover Evoque
    7. Audi Q5

But seriously, why do need to spend Rs. 50 lakhs when good models are available in the 20~25 lakh bracket?

    @ tolkapiam
I am not going to sell the Innova. I have spoken to someone who is willing to hire it for Rs30k per month and they will take care of the regular maintenance and insurance and they have their own drivers so I dont have to pay for anything atall. My Innova has only done 52000 kilometers and and new hence the deal. Accidents and everything is the company's headache and I don't even need a yellow number plate. I could sell it for 7lakhs + very easily as there's lot of people who know that it just sits there all the time and haven't been driven that much.
I am not looking for a sedan. I should have written SUV not car up there. Depreciation is not an issue. I dont mind a 40% hit after 5 years.

    @just4kix

    Toyota Landcruiser Prado

Doesnt stand out that much and I would rather buy a Fortuner that looks a lot cooler and has everything in it and pay 60% less.

    Ford Endeavour Hurricane Limited Edition

Every tom has one and I want a car that people dont see that often

    Honda CRV

I had one of those in UK for about a year and dont have anything against it but dont want to buy one again although its pretty good.

    Toyota Fortuner

There are too many of them on the roads but if nothing else works out I will buy this one with automatic transmission.

    BMW X1 or X3

The X1 is a joke. It looks like an estate rather then an SUV. X3 looks promising.

    Range Rover Evoque

I am going to see what it feels like in the driving seat soon and see if I want one or not but I love the looks and features so far

    Audi Q5

This is the second choice after the Evoque just in case I don't like the driving experience that much.

I am not that keen on spending too much unless I dont find something very good in the sub 25lakh bracket but if I do like the driving experience on evoque I might just buy that but if not I might even settle for a duster for less then 10 Lakh Earlier I was planning to buy a tempo traveller and get it modified by DC which would have cost me about 30Lakh all together but I would be able to use it for say more then 10 years and my little one would love it as well with so much room in it. The only thing stopping me doing that is the parking issue that I would get every where I would go and I cant drive it myself and would need a driver all the time where as driving an SUV isint an issue as I wont look stupid doing that

Ya right, I still remember that Mussorie to Delhi road :-D

According to me Fortuner 4X4 is still the best deal without any second thought but it's worth giving a look to
    Land Cruiser Prado Diesel

    Land Rover Freelander 2

Getting a flat tyre is perfectly normal and not the cars fault.

I think I might just go green and buy a horse and a cart

Sorry to have bothered you all with this. I have dropped the idea of buying a new car yet again and invested the money in mutual funds Seemed like a nice idea at the time due to the markets being down a bit.

Well you can choose Audi Q5 or BMW Mini Cooper which will come in your budget. Audi Q series is better than the others or you can choose Mercedes Benz.
