My favourite car is Skoda Octavia. It is really a solid car at a great price and this is the main thing i like about Skoda that they price there products at the right price. So for me Octavia is the best as of now.

Skoda is notorious for overpricing their spares. A friend of mine had to get his wing mirror replaced. Skoda said wing mirrors are sold in pairs only. The pair replacement cost 18,000.

Another guy who I know had his Octavia in the service stable for 23 days because some critical parts were not availble.

But Skoda Diesel cars give fantastic mileage, even in cogested city driving conditions.

My favorite car which I have driven so far is Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 GLX CRZ... Completely worth the money... drive it once before you buy any SUV in India today !

Stable like a horse, powerful like monster, speeds up to 160 kmph easily on 'Indian highways' yet remains in total control... it gives someone who likes driving an SUV more a feel of being with a mistress than being with his wife

Practical from inside and outside, no compromise on the Pajero performance or safety features which are matched in India only by the SUVs a class above... Though fuel wise it's between 8 - 10 in city it's up to 11 on highways if you're a seasoned highway driver... Engine has the roar one expects from an SUV, but the cabin is excellently silent with a dual control A/C for front and back... The seats are huge, ergonomic and the ride's comfy...

Don't want to over-say things... I like many other cars/companies as much... but for selecting an SUV in India today... I suggest you go test drive this baby... off road, on a typical terrain if possible and then go test drive an Endeavour or CRV or whichever SUV you're planning to buy, on the same terrain... you'll know the difference for yourself !

My personal fav wud be the 1956 fiat millecento . Currently, its lyin dead at my lucknow resi for nearly a decade, hoping to bring it back to life soon. Would be a wicked moment to drive the car of which i cud barely reach the pedals once!

But what the thread asks is '90+ model, so i wud have to go in for the Ford Endeavor. Nobody can beat those 26cm wide tyres!
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!

Since this is about favourites (not necessarily favouritism due to ownership), I would mention a few cars:

    1. SUV:
    - Porsche Cayenne
    - Mercedes Benz GLK

    2. Sports car:
    - Lotus Exige

    3. Sedan/saloon:
    - Chrysler 300c

    4. MPV:
    - Ford Focus C-Max
