Rep Power: 1 | Hey all... well i was using regular petrol from bp till today i decided to give speed a shot... and i must say i felt the difference within 5 kms... the engine was running quieter and perceptibly smoother while running as well as idling. I did not know by then whether this petrol was a higher octane fuel or with additives to make the engine run smoother (i searched for more info on it when i got home) so u know its not a mere psychological change. So i've decided to stick to this fuel in future. So tell me how many of u out there also use branded petrol? |

Rep Power: 5 | I always fill HP Power or BP Speed in my Santro. I get 13.5 in Pune City and 17 on highway. But as I never filled standard petrol, I cannot compare. I also heard that Reliance Petrol was even better. But because it was so costly people never purchased it. Reliance has now closed all petrol pumps owned by them.

| i m using speed from last 4 years... and yes you can feel the difference of smoothness and pickup power... In Delhi i think a big percentage is buying speed only and not the normal petrol...

Rep Power: 10 | I have never ecer used speed diesel or petrol... it harms your cars engine. It is not really a good idea to use hispeed thing in a new car.. The only difference is the octane and no other difference. If you go and ask any reputed engineer he will always advice you to only use standard petrol or diesel in a new car for about 4-5 years and then when your car starts feeling sluggish thats when you should be using higher octane fuel or else you are actually reducing the life of your engine. I might be wrong but thats what I follw and thats what Ive been told by a very reputed auto engineer here in Delhi. |

Rep Power: 5 | In USA, 76 is the best petrol (gas) I found. But we are speaking of India. In India, there are Shell petrol pumps but very few and far in between. |

Rep Power: 1 | @admin I am myself apprehensive using higher octane fuel tho... but speed has the normal octane number but has some additives that make the engine run smoother, the most difference i felt was this morning starting up the cold engine. The vibration felt was significantly less than my previous experiences. I use the car almost everyday so i know there was a marked difference there.
