Hi Folks,

I have Toshiba Satellite A40 Model. My DVD Rom + CD Writer Combo Drive doesn't deduct any disc if I insert to it. I came to know that lens is gone and I have to buy a new DVD Drive.

Now the problem starts. In market, they don't sell combo drives any more do I am forced to go for DVD Writer only.

I tried Sony DVD Writer in SP Road, Bangalore but it's not detecting the drive at all. Then I tried HP DVD Writer too, same case.

I want to whether DVD Writer is compatibility with my model and if so which brand would suit my laptop.

I need expertise advice...
