Thread: DDR3 in 2010

Ok.... i strt my spam campaign from this post .

Intel and AMD both have decided to make their products purely DDR3 latest by 2010 unlike the estimated Q3 09.

This is due to the relatively cold response to the i7 and AMD struggling with their DDR3 memory controller.

I just dont see the advantages of ddr3 at this time over ddr2 though if theyre making it a standard then i gues we wont have much choice left

Core i7 has problems with DD3 ?

Core i7 can work with DDR3, AMD having stability issues .
Corei7 supports only DDR3 - 1333 Mhz. Sux IMO.
I rather w8 for the next gen which support atleast DDR3 1600Mhz speeds.
What do u say ?

DDR3 is faster, but due to HIGH latencies its being held back.

Looking forward to it...along with USB 3.0 will make for a better PC experience.

No option but to wait coz its very costly at the moment.

USB 3.0 was a huge disappointment at CES(consumer electronics show)

most nvidia cardstoday hve gddr3 in them.
independantly,they may not be available for sometime.

^ dont mix Videoram [vram] and System ram .....

isn't DDR3 available in market ?

then why wait till 2010?

what will not be available independently ? GDDR3 ?

i think it was cleared later.gddr3 is the video ram.system ram is ddr3.hope it is clear now.i wasnt clear in my post.sorry for that!
