Thread: Intel under pressure ??

Intel seems to feel the heat as AMD just released their Phenom 2.

as the prices of the other products are expected to go down after AMD's recent price cut of the P2, intel has decided that it will release entry level Quads to fight the AMD tri cores. The Quads are expected to have 2MB of cache memory.

This is a LOT lesser that what Intel has to offer. Lets see how its performance turns out to be.

yep i heard top level quad proc's had about 30% cut in price and mid/lower end quads about 15 % and server CPU's upto 48 %... thats quite an amount.
