aaah so i guess its reaching its end of life... now i wont be buying it frm u

actually this drive was the last drive from benq which was an all rounder. it has a philips nexperia chipset, which was amazing.

i wouldnt have sold it also ... you would have cursed me like anything .. :lol:

i dont think its reching its end ... coz its behaving like this for the last 1.5 years ... its already 3 years old.

the same as me, till its tray mechanism f***d up, then i got the 7220a and then i fixed the tray again ...

are u having an issue that any video dvd u would write on it wud skip in the last minutes on a standalone dvd player??

this was the only other irritating issue i had with the drive.

No, i dont think i am having this issue. I dont write video DVDs much for standalone DVD players. I dont even have a standalone DVD player. All my collection are DVD Rips. They seem to run fine on PCs. Even on standalone players supporting AVI, MP4

this issue exists only for video dvd format. even i cud plaay avi files fine, and they run fine on the comp.

but the issue vanished with my new writer, so it must be some age issue.

i have a few proper video DVDs burnt with this drive but havent tried them on any standalone player. will try to check sometime later on some friend's DVD player.
