These processors have a family name "westmere". They are 32nm derivatives of Nehalem cores. they are to be introduced in 2nd half of this year, but it should be here by christmas. Intel says the core performance in single thread and multi thread processes is better(Duh!). I hope this is a huge leap in the right direction and we see better utilisation of faster DDR3 memory.
A Q4 09 launch would mean that its 1year after i7, good timing IMO.
