Thanks guys... but disaster struck today morning, my primary HDD died with 4 clicking sounds (aka click of death) , and it doesn't have warranty, but hell it doesn't have much of my data... 149.5 GB (space) gone....

Really i'm beginning to wonder if my data is jinxed....

ok you have the final chance, try the method i told you last time, put it in a freezer and recover the data as soon as possible. That freezer method is specially for the dead HDD like this one

    Yes , gonna try that...

I've recovered all data after freezing HDD. (after carefully wrapping in static resistant cover & placed in an air tight box)... Perhaps I really 'froze' instead of jus cooling it. It closely resembled ice and there was a lot of condensation on it.

So i jus let it warm untill room temperature.. then wiped off the water. I placed it over the other harddisk and it got heated up for about 2 hours.

Then booted normally to run OS n copy data.

However I doubt that it will last anymore, it already having vibrations.... The funniest thing in all this is that the device SMART info shows 100% Heath, Fitness etc.

Thanks to KK and all others for all the help, advise and encouragement ....
