Thread: Thermal Grease ??

Hello Everyone,

Would somebody please guide me about the various brands of thermal grease available in India ........... along with their performance level (if someone has used a particular brand) i.e. merits or demerits if any ................ including the price at which they can be bought locally .............


and yeah what/which compound to be used to remove the original thermal grease .........

I use very small amount on thiner to remove old paste, u can get all kinds/brands of paste. OCZ and coolermaster r the branded one u can get here. They r about Rs300. Use very little. Infact, u can see youtube for video guides

ya you can use thinner to remove the old thermal paste and be cautious while doing that, while applying apply only recommended quantity of thermal paste one too much may be harmful.

yes, plz apply a very thin layer. as thin ass possible. Then keep ur heatsink on the processor, and then remove it to se if the paste has spread properly. Let the paste set for some time(few Hrs) and then strt ur machine.
