Thread: NVidia 9800GT Graphics Card

The NVidia 9 Series Graphics cards have always been great performers. The 9800GT is no exception. The card comes with a whopping 1 GB GDDR3 RAM and 256 bit memory interface.

The card occupies single slot only (a plus) and has two DVI ports. It requires external power via a 6-pin power connector; so make sure the your SMPS has one. The card has on board fan and a massive copper heat sink that keeps it cool in the most testing conditions.

The card is rather heavily priced at Rs. 15,500/-. That is the only minus. had it been Rs. 3~4K cheaper, then it would have been a great buy. The card is sold by Gigabyte as GV-N98TZL-1GH.

why get a 9800GT when you can get a superior GTS 250 1GB for less then 10K?

Oops. I made a mistake. The card costs Rs. 8K. I was looking at the another card whose price is 15.5K

Yaa, It is dual slot card....
Hey but 9600GT also gives you ample of performance in all games .....
at high detail ..... at around 1600*1200 resolution.......

the cooler takes up 2 slots, hence its a dual slot card.

Hey but 9800GT is last generation card, why to discuss about it....
There are some card's at the same price which gives higher performance.........

Well not really. It depends on the games and stuff. At 1600*1200, you would want to have a 1GB version.

I would any day go for a ATI 4770. Its way faster than a 9800GT.

Yaa, you are right...... But I talked about 9600GT....
And in pune last month my friend bought 9600GT 1 GB graphic card for just 4,450 Rs. only..... isn't that good deal?
