    Default Difference in Pen Drives

Now when going to the market there is a large variety and choice of pen drives that you can choose from! Each has its own design, shape and capacity!

But is there a difference in the pen drives, as far a quality and durability goes?

Yes, some pen drives give you better speeds than others.
And as people use pendrives to transport data outside accidents(falling down from heights, falling in water etc.) are likely to happen ,so you need to choose a durable one.
The costliest may not be best all the time.
You have to see the realtime read and write speeds of the pendrives before buying, which is possible only if you go through reviews of these devices.
And you should also look at the warranty.I think Crosair has best warranty around (ten years). The read-write speeds of these drives were also good according to reviews that I read, and the cost is also reasonable.

Does speed really matter though, I mean I have Kingston one which gives fair enough speed!
I mean you plug the pen drive in the computer and whats the max it would take to load the data, 1 min? If that's the speed you are talking about?
And does the speed factor have anything to do with the computer speed?

When you copy small files like word documents, exelsheets, flash games or a few photos you won't see much difference.
But when you start copying big files of size say 700MB or 1GB you will definitely see the difference then. You can't copy a 700MB file in a less time using normal cheap drives.
So a good drive will be really useful in saving time.
For example you have to copy a linux distro of 700MB in just few minutes time from your frieinds computer who has to go out in a few minutes then it would be really useful.
As far as I know your RAM might matter a bit when copying big files.
Now all drives that are coming are USB 2.0 complaint which has a theoretical limit of 480 mbps(60MBps) but I haven't seen any drives which came near it till now.
