    Default Inkjet Cartridge

    Hi

I had bought a HP F2235 printer, an inkjet printer. I got the start up
ink cartridge with the printer. I refilled the same, there were only 30 prints,
which ideally should be around 100-120. I thought that original cartridge is
pretty expensive and hence gone for refilling.

Is the problem due to the cartridge(considering the fact that its start up
and need to buy original once again and than refill it)

You can use inksaver software to save ink on inkjet printers, also depends on the quality of printouts which you took and whether the refiller is genuine person, a trustworthy person.

Using genuine cartridges are not economical , one new canon inkjet cartridge costs 1000 rs whereas I bought the printer for 1200 rs only, so not worth at all ;-(

Thus, for refilling it does not matter whether you use the start up kit cartridge or the original one's that are taken once the start up cartridge refill is over.

The refilling for a black and white cartridge is around 75 Rs. And the color one costs 150. There should be around 100-125 prints of both, black and color. However, as I said that there were only 30 prints. The refill person was geniune but may be I can use software for less ink usage. Is there any specific name for ink saver software?

for the introductory cartridge, it may be possible.
introductory cartridge contains less ink than the regular one.
so first buy an original one and then refill.

i had asked the dealer about this refilling of inks and told me that its not advisable to refill the ink..its good to buy a new one..and yeah i agree with you its costly compare to refill but it will cause damage to your printer i think..so its good to buy a new one rather than buying a new printer again after 4 or 5 months..

True...Can we say that inkjet is expensive considering the fact that one has to pay Rs. 700-750 for original one, which will give about 200 black & white print outs. Further, can we also conclude that Laser jet is low on operational cost. I had enquired for HP M1005,the cartridge which used to cost around 3000Rs. and the output is around 1500-1800 copies.
