a QUAD CORE or a DUAL CORE?????

what internet provider do you have for gaming? and what speeds? i have 512kbps unlimited for bsnl and its too sloww for my ps3 modern warfare2 =(( i need to switch.. but i need unlimited plan of 1MB i live in gujarat

off topic.

Anyways, for mordern warfare 2, problem is most servers are really far hence its the latency that kills, otherwise 512Kbps is enough.

DUAL CORE OR QUAD CORE??????

For games out there presently, dual cores are better as they usually got higher clock speeds. But quads are better if u wanna look into the future...

Ya i will play the games that will come in future.
i have a dual core.is it enough for GTA 4 or NFS Shift excluding GFX.

For GTA 4 its better if you have a quad core, but it fine. Shift will run well on duals.

And MAN! i can't upgrade to quad core because i upgraded to dual core in march 2009!its not been an year!i will upgrade after 3-4years when more powerful processors will be available.

Even with a dual core you can play GTA 4 on max settings, but its a very boring game, i wasted Rs500 on it.

Well I think I'll opt for quad core..its the newest in town I think..and of course its best for gaming too..its what programmers been using..so you just can imagine how fast is this one..

I think the question should be modified a bit.

If a Dual core and a Quad core processor cost the same, Eg E8400 and Q8400 , which would be better for gaming...

Who said GTA4 was boring??
Its the best game out there in terms of sandbox genre...


And anyways I've seen numerous Dual vs Quad debates over the web...
Definitely Quads are better, but it also depends on the games.

Older games were writtne to utilize two cores only. No matter you use them wid Quads they'll continue to use only two cores.

The newer games are written with Quads in mind and they make full use of all the four cores.

So if you wanna play safe for the future, definitely go for a Quad without doubt!

for future quad core is better.because technology is growing faster

I like Quad Core but i am using core i7, dual cored..........

If cost is not an issue for you then go for Quad core .it will be better for gaming
