I have Maxtor 1 TB. It is quite good. Maxtor is a Seagate brand.
But I will suggest you that you buy a 1 TB NAS disk. Such a disk is network enabled and has an ethernet port. Just connect to one of the ethernet ports of the router and it acts as a Network attached storage.
All the computers in your network will be able to access it and it is an ideal solution for storing video (as well as documents).

Hi Kix, Thanks for your suggestion. However I'm not interested in Network attached storegae device. I'm planning to but an ordinary one. I just came to know from my friends that we have two types of external hard disks.. one is portable and another one is non portable.
I'm planning to buy this one Seagate Expansions 1TB External Desktop USB 2.0 Hard: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
And I would be carrying it here and there. So is this good to buy the above one? Please suggest, thanks in advance.
Any branded external HDD will do....... The durablility depends on how you handle it...........
Thank you guys. Would book the above HDD tonight. Thanks for your help
